CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER
Our team in Melbourne currently has an opening for a Customer Service Officer
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES This is an exciting role and not your “run-of-the-mill” Customer Service experience. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for various customer service-related tasks, such as processing orders, overseeing deliveries, and ensuring customers are well taken care of by building relationships and having a good understanding of their requirements.You will be an absolute collaborator and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills are key. Data entry requires lots of critical thinking and you must have a proactive, collaborative attitude. To be successful you must have proven Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills and experience with SAP ERP system. You will be required to
- Work closely with the Commercial/Sales teams, actively contributing to the Customer Service Team, providing customer service excellence
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Maintain order fulfilment / order confirmation via phone, email, or electronic order entry system
- Work closely with the Procurement Team and third-party logistics to ensure orders are delivered on time
- Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction, collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Inventory
- Handle and clarify customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
- Approach each day with a keen sense of self-discipline and urgency, along with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Undertake administrative duties which includes processing new client accounts, maintaining customer accounts and implementing changes to existing accounts
- 3+ years’ experience in a customer service-related role within Supply Chain or related field
- Working experience in the ingredient distribution industry advantageous
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of customer purchase to pay process
- SAP experience
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft skills – particularly Excel
- An agile, highly collaborative, and early adopter mindset
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
- Digitally savvy, self-motivated, ability to prioritise and take initiative, strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships; build credibility and trust with internal stakeholders and customers
